AniCAM HD Plus™
Troika Systems’ flagship 3D scanning device for analyzing anilox rolls, gravure cylinders, and flexo plates with high-precision measurement.
Anilox Roll
A ceramic or chrome-coated roll used to meter a specific amount of ink to the printing plate in flexo and gravure processes.
Anilox Management System (AMS)
Troika’s database platform that tracks and manages anilox roll condition over time to support print consistency and maintenance.
AquaShear™
Provident’s proprietary end seal machining process that increases sealing surface area for better chamber sealing and reduced ink leakage.
Chamber System
A closed ink delivery system that uses doctor blades and end seals to meter ink across an anilox roll.
Containment Blade
A doctor blade used on the opposite side of the metering blade in a chamber system to prevent ink spitting or leakage.
Doctor Blade
A metering blade that removes excess ink or coating from the anilox roll or gravure cylinder before transferring it to the substrate.
End Seal
A sealing component at each end of the doctor blade chamber, designed to contain ink, prevent leakage, and reduce blade wear.
E-Series (Polyester Blade)
A synthetic blade made from polyester, designed for safe handling and consistent performance in containment or light metering.
Flexo Printing (Flexographic Printing)
A high-speed, high-volume printing method using flexible relief plates. Ideal for packaging, labels, and corrugated substrates.
G Coated Blade
Provident’s gravure-specific blade featuring a specialty coating that reduces friction and protects chrome cylinders during high-speed printing.
Gold / Micro-Alloy Steel
A premium-grade metallurgically treated steel used for long-life doctor blades. Reduces friction and extends blade wear time.
Gravure Printing
A high-quality intaglio printing process used for long-run applications like flexible packaging, wallpaper, and publication printing.
Iridium Coated Blade
A specialty steel doctor blade with a corrosion-resistant, low-friction coating—ideal for water-based inks in flexo systems.
MagneCAM HD Plus™
Troika’s non-contact 3D inspection system used for gravure cylinder measurement without physical blade contact.
Nano I / Nano II / Nano III
Provident’s Primeblade nano-treated steel blades with reduced friction and extended life. Nano III is equivalent to Gold / Micro-Alloy steel.
P-Series (UHMW Blade)
A synthetic blade made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Known for its durability and operator safety.
PlasTeel Blade
A rigid synthetic blade used for containment or moderate metering; resistant to chemical wear and suited for water-based, UV, and solvent inks.
ScrapTracker™
Novation’s defect tracking system designed to monitor flagged defects and reduce waste during rewind or finishing.
SurfaceCAM HD™
A 3D inspection system from Troika used to evaluate surface geometry, engraving, and material wear—commonly used by engravers.
Super Coated Blade
Provident’s proprietary low-friction coated blade for high-abrasion applications including metallics, whites, and matte varnishes.
TruPoint Orange Blade
A synthetic Flexo Concepts doctor blade with a specialized tip designed for fine ink metering, offering steel-like precision with safer handling.
WebFlagger AF3
Novation’s automatic defect flagging system used to mark and identify defects during production for downstream correction.
